DR. MOHAMMED YOUSEF AL-MULLA
Dr. Mohammed Yousef Al-Mulla is the Managing Director and CEO of Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO), a pioneer in petrochemical production in the Middle East established in 1974.
Since he joined QAPCO in 1988, Dr. Al-Mulla held strategic positions and was appointed CEO in 2007. Under his leadership, the company has achieved major milestones in the fields of production, Qatarization process, sustainable development and research. Polymer production in particular has increased by 300%, propelling QAPCO from a local petrochemical producer to a leading petrochemical powerhouse recognized on global markets.
Dr. Al-Mulla is a Member of the Board of Directors of Seef Limited (Seef Limited), one of the largest publicly traded companies on Qatar Exchange. He is also a Member of the Board of Muntajat (Qatar Chemical and Petrochemical Marketing and Distribution Company).
QAPCO being one of the founding members of the Gulf Petrochemicals & Chemicals Association (GPCA), Dr. Al-Mulla is a Board Member of this influential trade association.
Dr. Al-Mulla graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania, in the United States in 1988. He earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration in 1997 and a Ph. D. in Engineering in 2007 from Leicester University in the United Kingdom.
